Start with 2 weeks of hands-on activities & training at community radio station CKDU 88.1-FM where you'll learn about the basics of radio journalism. Then spend August producing your own radio pieces to air on a weekly radio show run by the camp!
For ages 15-18. The camp includes technical training, interviewing & recording skills, digital editing, CKDU certification, production of radio pieces, guest speakers, field trips and a chance to host your own radio show. We will focus on creating alternatives to mainstream media.
Bus tickets and snacks provided (with pizza's also making occasional appearances).
Funded through the Halifax Regional C@P Association.
Participants will be selected based on an application (download it here).
